Matilda came to us at the end of last summer, she was very dehydrated and malnourished.
She stayed with us throughout the winter, first within our care unit and then within our pre release site.
Matilda was nursed back to full health, given some time to adjust in the pre release site, so that we could be sure that Matilda could forage and look after herself.
She was released back into the wild at the beginning of this month to continue her life as it should be roaming free.
This is what Hoggies Respite is all about. Rescue, rehabilitate and release. It takes a lot of money to provide food, medication and care for these creatures. Please help us by donating via our link on the ‘About’ page of this web site.
