This is Archie, he was released at the beginning of last year.  Hoggies Respite revisit the sites where we release, during the night on a periodic basis.

We do this to monitor the hedgehogs that we have released.  We spend the night walking the sites and locating as many of the hedgehogs as we can. We weigh the hedgehogs and ensure that they are in good health and then let them go on their way to continue their happy life in the wild.

This is what Hoggies Respite is all about.  Rescue, rehabilitate and release.  It takes a lot of money to provide food, medication and care for these creatures.  Please help us by donating via our link on the ‘About’ page of this web site.
